Rebirth is the fourth studio album by Jennifer Lopez. The album’s name is dedicated to Paige Peterson, a child cancer patient who Lopez befriended who shortly died in November 2004. This event sparked a change in Lopez. The album was made after her divorce with Ben Affleck and during her marriage with Marc Anthony. Lopez wanted to get rid of the “J-Lo” persona and focus on mild-tempo R&B, dance, and hip hop. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 and is platinum by the RIAA. It has two singles; “Get Right” and “Hold You Down”.
