Loose is the third studio album by Canadian singer and songwriter Nelly Furtado, released on June 6th, 2006. The album is her most successful album to date, selling 12 million copies worldwide. The album’s sound was very different than Furtado’s previous works, having more of a Dance-pop/hip hop/R&B feel to it. She worked with several different producers on the album, such as Timbaland, Jim Beanz, and Danja.
A total of eight singles were released from the album: “Maneater”, “Promiscuous”, “Say It Right”, “No Hay Igual”, “Te Busque”, “All Good Things (Come to an End)”, “In God’s Hands” and “Do It”.
The album produced a huge hit single, “Promiscuous”, which was released as the lead single from the album in North America in 2006. The song became one of Furtado’s first massive hits in the US, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Furtado would soon match the success of her previous massive hit, “Promiscuous”, when “Say It Right”, released as the third single in North America, peaking at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
