Stripped is the fourth studio album by American singer Christina Aguilera, originally released on October 22, 2002 through RCA Records. The album found Aguilera taking on more mature subject matter and more creative control over her album, both sonically and lyrically. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 330,000.
A total of five singles were released from the album: “Dirrty”, “Beautiful”, “Fighter”, “Can’t Hold Us Down” and “The Voice Within”. All singles from the album peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 within the top 50. “Beautiful” became the highest charting single, peaking at number two. The song also was nominated and won for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” at the 2004 Grammy Awards.
