Significant Other - Limp Bizkit
Significant Other

Coming off of their previous album Three Dollar Bill, Y'all’s success, Significant Other is the second studio album by the nu-metal band Limp Bizkit. Significant Other leans harder into a more metal and hip-hop based style, seen in the Method Man-featuring N 2 Gether Now’s turntable scratches and sampling, along with heavier themes, lyrics being based more on the real lives of the band members. Significant Other was an even bigger success than Three Dollar Bill, Y'all, climbing to number one in the US Billboard 200. Critics praised the fine-tuned sound as progress from the previous album and enjoyed the emphasis on edgier subject matters. Of course, the album was not without controversy. The band preforming the song Break Stuff at Woodstock ‘99 received bad press after the song was blamed for some of the violence that happened during the event. Durst never recognized the song as the cause of the uproar, and even showed the band as a goody-two-shoes persecuted by a jackbooted court in the music video to Re-Arranged. As harsh as this may sound, you can’t help but think that Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris may have been huge Limp Bizkit fans.
