“Cross Town” is the debut project from the rising Georgia rapper – B.A. The Great, who is gearing up to get out of the streets. The title of the project is derived from the hood that the artist was raised in.
The project is executive produced by mentor Mike Will Made-It, who originates from the same Atlanta largest suburbs, as the rapper – Marietta, making it the producer’s second such project in 2018 after “Edgewood” executive produced for other ATL native rapper and protege – Trouble. Though B.A. has been making music for the better part of a decade, a chance encounter with Mike WiLL at a Marietta open mic event changed his life, giving him a way out.
“Cross Town” tells a story of redemption, detailing the lengths B.A. forced himself to go through to keep himself alive. The Great aims to use his platform to spread an uplifting message of hope to the residents of his neighborhood – a relatively unknown strip tucked in Marietta.
Project serves the listener total of 12 tracks with the runtime of cool 36 minutes. On the debut project, B.A. The Great puts an emphasis on his solo skills, therefore we won’t find any features on it. The production, on the other hand, comes from Mike Will, 30 Roc, Resource, Go Grizzly, among others, serving us an exquisite dose of phonic experience.
