Fijación Oral Vol. 1 is the sixth studio album by Shakira. The Latin-pop album became Shakira’s first to debut in the top-ten on the Billboard 200 at number four. It It set a record for the highest debut for a full-length Spanish-language album on that chart. Four singles were released for the record, such as the Billboard-entry “La Tortura”. The record won Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album at the Grammy Awards and Album of the Year, Best Engineered Album and the Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards.
The record became the second-highest selling Latin album of the ‘00s and eighth best-selling Latin album in general in the US. The album has been certified in several countries such as eleven-times Latin platinum by the RIAA and triple-platinum by ASINCOL.
