Ghetto Street Funk is the debut album from Atlanta rap group Parental Advisory a/k/a P.A. released on November 9, 1993. The album has the distinction of being the first release from the Dungeon Family collective, but is often overshadowed by Outkast’s “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik” and Goodie Mob’s “Soul Food.” This album is also one of famed production team Organized Noize’s earliest production credits. Although P.A. is a Southern hip hop act, Ghetto Street Funk has a sound more akin to East Coast hip hop, often described as a Southern Das EFX.
