Initially slated as the follow-up to his Back Inna My Face Vol.1 debut mixtape, the album has been teased on and off since 2010. Over the following years there was a cover released, a teaser video, and many references to the album in one-off tracks and on radio shows. Four track teaser video released in 2013 Following the release of Greatest To Ever Touch Down in 2015 and T On The Wing in 2016, Stranger Returns was finally confirmed in late 2017.
