Joyride is the third studio album by singer Tinashe, released on April 13, 2018, through RCA Records, her last album with the label. Since being announced in 2015, the album had been subject to a number of label pushbacks and cancelled lead singles, such as “Player", “Superlove” and “Flame" The singer had not only released the mixtape Amethyst to thank her fans for their patience with the projects' many delays, but she also initially ‘leaked’ her choice for the first single, “Party Favors”, prompting RCA to release the track and its music video. She also released the promo singles “Company” and “Ride Of Your Life”, followed by a full parent project NIGHTRIDE which she called ‘the first part’ of the eventual album Joyride. >She re-recorded half the album in 6 months in late 2017, including sessions at her home studios< with StarGate, Mark Ronson, Diplo, Nic Nac, Mike WiLL Made-It and Boi-1da, and immediately began promo for the final tracklist. The project’s lead single proper, “No Drama”, was then released on January 18, 2018, followed quickly by the next singles and music videos for “Faded Love” and “Me So Bad".
