Songs For Silverman is the second solo album by Ben Folds, a piano-rock musician famous as the former frontman of Ben Folds Five. The album was released in 2005, led by two singles: “Landed” and “Jesusland”. The third single “Late” is notable as a tribute to his friend, singer-songwriter Elliot Smith, who suffered from severe depression and ultimately killed himself in 2003. Songs for Silverman received generally positive reviews.
