The Jukebox is Mac’s third overall mixtape, his second solo mixtape, and his debut mixtape under the name Mac Miller (he was previously performing under the name Easy/EZ Mac). The Jukebox was a nickname of Mac’s, who was known for constantly spitting out music, similar to a jukebox. The tape was initially intended to serve as a prelude to Class Clown, a project Mac was working on at the time. However, Class Clown was ultimately scrapped and replaced with his mixtape The High Life.
