This is the first album from legendary gangster rapper Jimmy Wopo. I believe it was considered a mixtape by Smart, however I view it as his debut album. Although the album has only 8 tracks, they are all excellent songs and I have left this on repeat many times. The cover art is Legendary! It features a photo of wopo who’s face is tattooed with the artwork from a US $100 bill from currency. His eyes are glowing green and it looks like he is holding a Beretta and has an army of zombies behind him. I don’t want to try and choose a favorite track because I love them all. This is a must have to any serious collector!! Big pimpin is a classic where he uses a unique style to express that his crew is legit and how he is above other rappers in terms of ability. My favorite verse is at the end where he said: “be the same nigga from the clubhouse turned mickey mouse / soon as i see a square around I just kick him out / everywhere I go I got a nigga with that chicky out / treetop piru nigga / check my fuckin body count. Ayo begins with a piano and gives you the impression it will be soft but this is far from it and has my favorite chorus of all the tracks on this album. As well as an epic verse – "im a snake cause you thought i was your man when the plan was to rob your ass / had his dipper in the picture…. but on my mama he aint have it when we caught his ass”. Back Door was produced by legendary DJ Sonny Digital and actually features him as a rapper! This is a rare chance to hear him rap. This is my favorite track on the whole Album. Drinking Dope is themed around drinking mixed drinks of codiene\promethazine cough syurp mixed with whatever is popular at the time. Elm Street is probably the biggest hit or at least in the top 3 of all his songs that could argue for being the most popular song he had. Prime time is a very dark song that talks about adventures of the hood. Oh My has a catchy beat and comes together with a very catchy sounding beat and piano. What else can I say? This is an all time favorite of mine and what I consider to be a critical addition to any rap collection that claims to contain rap classics.
