My debut mixtape released on the anniversary of my grandfather James “Boe” Barnett’s birth, March 30th. Psycle is a concept mixtape about not knowing what is reality and what is a figment of my imagination. It is essentially a mental battle in which I speak to my dead grandfather, others from an unknown dimension, an unidentified deity, myself, the listener, and wrestle with Lucifer. In a way everything in this tape is meant to be a dream, but the point I’m trying to make is not everything you dream is fictional. In order to decode what exactly is happening in this mixtape you need to realize it technically isn’t in order. This is a story that is told in a very subtle manner.
