The Alesha Show - Alesha Dixon
The Alesha Show

The Alesha Show is the second studio album by English singer Alesha Dixon. It was released on 24 November 2008 through Asylum Records. The album served as her first domestic release, following the cancellation of 2006’s “Fired Up” and her departure from Polydor Records. An energetic mix of pop, soul, R&B, and big band, “The Alesha Show” featured an array of producers such as Brian Higgins, Xenomania, Steve Booker, Harvey Mason, Jr., Kuk Harrell, Stephen Lipson, Soulshock & Karlin, Alex da Kid, and Al Shux. The album in its original format produced three singles; “The Boy Does Nothing”, “Breathe Slow”, and “Let’s Get Excited”. The former two singles went on to become commercial successes for Dixon, peaking at #5 and #3 in the UK, respectively and are now considered her signature hits. The album was later re-released in 2009 as “The Alesha Show – Encore”, including the single “To Love Again”. A steady seller, “The Alesha Show” debuted within the UK top 40, eventually climbing to its peak of #11, and staying on the charts for 32 cumulative weeks. The album went on to receive a Platinum certification from the BPI for sales in excess of 300,000 units. It is Dixon’s highest charting and selling album to date.
