“Heavy Is The Head” is Thi'sl’s reflection on emotional weight that he must carry. The title is also used by another song and refers to a quote from Shakespeare’s play “Henry IV”. Originally the line goes:
How many thousand of my poorest subjects / Are at this hour asleep! O sleep, O gentle sleep, …“ At the end, he declares, "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.”
Thi'sl has previously used this theme of royalty and crowns in “King Without A Crown.”
