World Painted Blood is the 11th album from Bay Area Thrash Metal band Slayer and the last perform of band’s founder, songwriter and guitarist Jeff Hanneman on a studio album. Album released on November 3rd 2009 by label American Recordings and executively produced by Rick Rubin. The album is one of the fastest albums of Slayer. Album got good reactions from fans and some people believes that since Diabolus In Musica, it’s one of the most classic albums that Slayer recorded. Everything Slayer did on World Painted Blood, they did just as well or even better during their classic period. Crushing riffs are found all throughout this album, as they are found in most of Slayer’s albums. On this album though, they don’t drag out the slow parts of the song, and they usually build up to even more thrash most of the time. Songs Hate Worldwide and title track World Painted Blood were nominated for 53rd Grammy Award winning.
