Cinderella’s Eyes was the debut solo album by former Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts, released on September 23rd 2011. Many of the album’s tracks, including Sticks + Stones and Take a Bite, explore the bullying and insecurity she faced from the media and the general public during her rise to fame. She explained in an interview with The Guardian that she wrote from raw personal experiences naturally, saying “it would have been stupid for me to make an album that meant nothing.” Three singles were released from Cinderella’s Eyes; Beat of My Drum, Lucky Day and Yo-Yo.
