Soundbombing released on October 14, 1997, arrived at a crucial part for Hip-Hop. After the deaths of 2Pac and Notorious B.I.G., the mainstream Hip-Hop scene was forced to re-examine it’s priorities, and the commercial dominance of artists like P. Diddy, No Limit, and Cash Money gave birth to smart, socially conscious, and skilled alternatives to what was going on in the mainstream at that time. It has since been regarded as a scene-defining underground hip-hop album and a landmark release. This album features guest appearances from R.A. The Rugged Man, Company Flow, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Kool Keith just to name a few. This album was mixed by DJ Evil Dee of Da Beatminerz.
