Directors of Photography was a come-back album of sorts for Dilated Peoples, who did not release group album since 2006’s 20/20. The album was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment on 12 Aug 2014 featuring the singles “Good As Gone” and “Show Me The Way” (feat. Aloe Blacc). Guest spots include Vince Staples, Gangrene (The Alchemist + Oh No), Sick Jacken, and Krondon. Additionally, Dilated Peoples recruited Fashawn, Rapsody, Domo Genesis, Vinnie Paz and Action Bronson for the posse cut “Hallelujah.” Outside production comes from The Alchemist, DJ Premier, Diamond D, Jake One, Oh No, 9th Wonder, and Twiz The Beat Pro.
