Mandatory Fun is “Weird Al” Yankovic’s fourteenth collection of parodies and original comedy songs. The album includes parodies of Iggy Azalea, Lorde, Robin Thicke, Imagine Dragons and Pharrell Williams!
The album shows yet again shows that the comedic genius inside Alfred Yankovic’s head is alive and kicking, bringing along even more hilarious jokes and cuts set to the tunes of today’s big commercial hits. His new album brings to the table this time around everything about, but not limited to, resurfaced patios, bacterial formations and shadow organizations, an amusing english lesson, inertia, twerking at the DMV and the french-kissing of internal organs.
It became his final album due from his 14-album, 32-year-long record contract. It ended up being Al’s first album to reach #1 on the Billboard album chart (in fact, the first comedy album to hit #1 since Allan Sherman’s My Son, the Nut in 1963.
