“Man Vs Machine” is the 4th studio album by rapper Xzibit, and the 2nd to be executively produced by Dr. Dre. It was released on October 1st, 2002.
This is Xzibit’s highest charting album to date, peaking at No.3 on the US Billboard albums chart. It has two singles: “Symphony in X Major” with Dr. Dre, and “Multiply” with Nate Dogg.
It also spawned Xzibit’s most well known track as a solo artist: “My Name” featuring Eminem and Nate Dogg, which is a classic track with excellent features.
The album has a much different sound from his previous effort, “Restless”, with a more electronic sound (hence the name of the album) than “Restless”, which had a more 90s West Coast type of sound.
