The Allies

Allies was the creative offspring of Sweet Comfort Band, formed by Randy Thomas in 1984 after SCB called it quits. As Bryan Duncan moved on to a successful solo career, Thomas called on former SCB backup singer Bob Carlisle to front the band as its lead singer. Great choice! There are few singers blessed with Carlisle’s pipes, and even in the midst of mid-80s popular music trends heavily influencing the band, with Carlisle up front the band is just so good you ignore their sometimes dated sound.
