Muddy Waters - Redman
Muddy Waters

After taking a journey to the Darkside on his last album, Redman returns with his critically acclaimed third album Muddy Waters. After being disappointed with his output on his previous album due to his hazy state of mind, Redman talks about his changes on Muddy Waters: Muddy Waters is my album! I came into the light on this one. I left some of those drugs alone and started smoking more weed and I was in the gym. I had a kid and I started to slow down. So I was getting grown on this album, finding myself and getting more in-tuned with the rap game. Supported by the singles “It’s Like That (My Big Brother)” with K-Solo, “Whateva Man” with Erick Sermon, and “Pick It Up,” Muddy Waters achieved gold status within two months after peaking at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The album also features appearances from Method Man, Jamal, and Keith Murray, while Redman, Erick Sermon and Rockwilder handle the bulk of the production. Redman spoke more about the album in a Rap City interview with Joe Clair:
