E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front

The third album from Busta Rhymes, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front, was released on December 15, 1998 and continued the apocalyptic countdown to the Year 2000 found on his first two albums. Busta gets his party on with the tracks “Do the Bus a Bus” and “Tear da Roof Off,” matches the energy of guests Mystikal and Ozzy Osbourne, while the Flipmode Squad is featured on “Against All Odds.” The album was well-received, receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album, peaking at #12 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart on its way to platinum status with support from the Grammy-nominated singles “Gimme Some More” and “What’s It Gonna Be?” with Janet Jackson, as well as the album’s third single “Party is Goin' on Over Here.”
