When Disaster Strikes... - Busta Rhymes
When Disaster Strikes...

One year after releasing his debut album The Coming, Busta Rhymes returned with his sophomore project When Disaster Strikes… on September 16, 1997. Busta once again brought in production from DJ Scratch, The Ummah, Rashad Smith, and Easy Mo Bee, as well as producing a couple of tracks himself. Busta jumps on the breezy tracks “One” with Erykah Badu and “The Body Rock” with Puffy and Ma$e, as well as highlighting the Flipmode Squad on the hardcore posse cut “We Could Take It Outside.” The album was well-received, achieving platinum status after peaking at #3 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with support from the singles “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,” “Dangerous,” and “Turn It Up (Remix)/Fire It Up,” which was later included on reissued versions of the album.
