Weiland’s self-titled album, originally thought to be scrapped and known as Reject, was slated to be released at the beginning of fall in 2019. A later version that was planned to be released in early 2020 included songs like “Rockstar” and “Swipe”, though these were scrapped, much to the discontent of fans. Throughout 2020, Weiland constantly teased the release of the album, providing several initial release dates for the project only to bail on them with no explanation. On November 7, Weiland officially confirmed the album’s release date as November 20, 2020, via his Instagram. All of the songs on the project, for better or worse, have been previewed and/or leaked at one point or another. Compared to the early tracklists, the final version boasts a singular Chief Keef feature and two bonus tracks in “Low Profile” and “Have You Ever”.
