The Emancipation of Mimi is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. The album was first released on April 12th, 2005 via Def Jam. A new edition with six bonus tracks (15-20), titled The Emancipation of Mimi (Ultra Platinum Edition) was released on November 15, 2005, to coincide with the release of Carey’s single “Don’t Forget About Us”, which was not featured on the original edition of the album.
