Back to Basics is the fifth studio album by Christina Aguilera. According to Aguilera, the album is a mix off old-school jazz and soul with a modern touch. The album is mostly based on past events (ex. her 2005 marriage with Jordan Bratman) and uses an alter-ego; Baby Jane. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200 with 346,000 sales. The album has five singles; most notably “Candyman” and “Ain’t No Other Man”. The album was nominated for a Grammy and “Ain’t No Other Man” won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2007. As of 2013, the album has sold eight million copies worldwide.
