MacDre 2 is a mixtape by Sean Auguste set to release Spring 2018. It is the second mixtape in the MacDre Tetralogy and it was all produced and recorded by Sean Auguste himself only using a Macbook Pro and a pair Beats by Dre headphone. Calibrating the two tools to create these awesome journal entries, Sean delivers poetry through song. Full of personal interest, comedy, current events and important topics. Covering it all, over some of hip-hop’s most important instrumentals. Like “Ready or Not” by The Fugees where he raps about his suicidal thoughts, or “Life Changes” by Casey Veggies which is the mixtapes Intro track and even Smile by Jay Z. The mixtape series was given its name because as Sean explains in the “Title Track” on the first installment of the MacDre series, “I’m still here, Apple laptop and Beat headphones.” Hence the title “MacDre.”
