Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill (shorted to Port of Miami 2) is the 10th studio album by rapper Rick Ross, released August 9th. The album is a sequel to Ross’s debut 2006 platinum album Port of Miami, and was released one day after the 13th anniversary of the original album. Shortly after the release of his 9th studio album – Rather You Than Me, he announced Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill in an interview with Papa Keith at 103.5 The Beat: My 10th album before I close out my 10th year will be Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill. On March 20th, an official trailer for the album was released on the Maybach Music Group twitter. The first single for Port of Miami 2: Born To Kill titled “Act A Fool”, featuring Wale, was released on June 21st, 2019. “BIG TYME” was the second single for the record, featured Swizz Beats, and was released on July 2nd, 2019. On July 26th, 2019, a third single, “Gold Roses”, featuring Drake was released in anticipation of the album. The full tracklist was revealed on Instagram on August 1st, 2019, a week before its official release. “Turnpike Ike” was the final single released from the record, and was dropped on August 6th, 2019.
