Laugh Now, Cry Later - Ice Cube
Laugh Now, Cry Later

After a six-year hiatus, Ice Cube returns with his seventh solo album, Laugh Now, Cry Later, released on June 6, 2006. This was the first album Ice Cube released independently through his own Lench Mob Records after he left his longtime label, Priority Records. The album achieved gold status after peaking at #4 on the Billboard 200 with support from the singles “Why We Thugs” and “Go To Church” with Lil Jon and Snoop Dogg. The album features production from Swizz Beatz, Lil Jon, Scott Storch, Bud'da, Laylaw, and DJ Green Lantern among others. The two masks representing “laugh now, cry later” are ancient Greek Muses, Thalia (laughing) and Melpomene (weeping); Thalia was the Muse of comedy, Melpomene the Muse of tragedy.
