Gossip Columns is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Marc E. Bassy, which was released on October 13th, 2017. During an interview with Billboard in the same month, Bassy explained the creative vision behind the album, as well as where it’s name was derived from: I chose this album title [Gossip Columns] because these tracks are essentially sensationalized stories from my personal life, experience and observation. I have always dug into these stories as sources for inspiration, and being based in the muck and mire of Los Angeles, a tabloid-ish picture is what I have painted within this album.
