Pacific Daydream was released October 27, 2017. It is Weezer’s eleventh studio album. They originally set out to make another self-titled darker album known as the Black Album. However, Cuomo said that he started writing songs that did not fit the darker sound, so he started work on a project called Pacific Daydream.
