Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000

Upon Dr. Dre’s departure from Death Row Records on March 22, 1996 he released the complication Dr. “Dre Presents the Aftermath” on November 26, 1996. When Suge Knight found out Dr. Dre was working on his next album, tentatively titled “Chronic 2000” he put together “Suge Knight Represents” Chronic 2000" to troll not only Dre but Aftermath Entertainment. Death Row essentially leap frogged Aftermath with their Chronic album release of their own. Suge’s trolling actualy began on November 26, 1996 when Suge released “Death Row Greatest Hits” featuring “Who Been There, Who Done That' by J-Flexx which is a direct diss to Dr. Dre and his ”“Been There, Done That” track from the Aftermath complication released the same day (11.26.96). Although this 2-disc complication peaked on the US Billboard 200 at number 11 and had a few gems it was not an overall success. This marked one of the final releases on the famed multi-platinum selling label which once reigned on the top of hip-hop.
