Hard II Love

Eighth record by Usher, his first since 2012’s Looking 4 Myself. It was released 3 days early on Tidal, and the video for “No Limit” was initially a Tidal exclusive. The album is jam packed with superstars. Young Thug, Future, The-Dream, Pharrell Williams, and Metro Boomin all feature as guests or producers. Lil Jon also pops up on “Bump” as an uncredited feature. Usher did little press to promote the album, and it dropped as somewhat of a surprise, considering he heavily promoted it in 2014, only to delay it indefinitely. In August 2016 he [revealed the release date via Jimmy Kimmel.]9after heavily promoting the album in 2014, only to delay it indefinitely. ) Described by some as “adventurous,” the album isn’t a huge departure for Usher, with love and sex two major touching points. Sonically, it resembles the trap sound of the 2010s, with more melodic stretches. It also centres around relationships, and admitting fault. He said the album was aimed at “men who don’t think love is cool to do.”
