In Living Memory

In Living Memory. Why is this project titled this? Banksy: “I mean, they say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time.” When you stop breathing, your physical body dies. But when people stop saying your name, then your memory dies. You only live once: YOLO. Inherently there’s nothing wrong with saying that but using it as an excuse to do nonsensical things is wrong. If you could restart your life from day one, wouldn’t you strive to make all your actions meaningful instead of meaningless, your actions powerful instead of powerless? So why do we waste our time doing things that have negligible impact? I cement myself somewhere in the archives of history and commit to have a lasting legacy.
